"Got it right!"

I can say that after weeks of listening I remain very impressed. The sound, the song selection, the presentation (graphics), the commentary; even to the face of the CD itself. You guys got the job done, first class. - Daly and Associates

"CD Review"

Some Assembly Required is a quartet from Richmond, Va., with a unique approach to bluegrass music. This 11-song project is a blending of familiar numbers such as "Red Clay Halo" and "Wrong Road Again" along with original pieces composed by band member Leo Szydlowski. The band's performances are flawless, as demonstrated on "Just Like Candy," Hank Williams' "There'll Be No Teardrops Tonight," and Gordon Lightfoot's "Go My Way." One particular highlight is Lynn Stephens' emotional version of "Footprints." "Tools Of The Trade" is contemporary bluegrass performed with style from a group that displays a truly creative spirit. - Bluegrass Unlimted, August 2009

"CD Review"

I don't think I've ever seen a group of musicians happier about the release of a new project than the members of Some Assembly Required. There were strong performances throught the CD by band members and guests. The last song on the CD is titled "A Place To Rest". It was written by Leo Szydlowski and is sung by Leo and Lynn. It is a sentimental song about life at home. This is a fine song and was really quite a surprise for me. I believe this is Leo's best work.

As with most bands the lead pickers and singers tend to get mentioned over and over and those who are the bedrock upon which the band rest are often neglected. I want to correct that right now by complimenting Ernie Freeby on his rock solid and unobtrusive bass playing throughtout the project. It is my opinion the Some Assembly Requried has produced a recorded project they can all be proud of. Let me say that if you enjoy seeing and hearing them in a live setting, then you will very much enjoy the CD, "Tools Of The Trade." - Bluegrass Virginia Blogspot
