"Mob Towne Revival could be considered one of the most ambitious and notable groups in the Mobile music scene. This legion of MC's and musicians have made an impression in the Port City and beyond with their mix of mellow grooves and unbeatable rhymes"
- The Laniappe
"Rootsy Hip" follows a group of white hip-hop artists from Mobile-AL and Memphis-TN, members of Mob Towne Revival, Microphone Messengers, SubjecTmAtTerS and BlueyedSoul. It is not exactly a rockumentary, but rather an intimate portrait of struggling artists trying to find their place in the sun, while challenging a series of preconceived notions and stereotypes. - Isabel Machado

Swelling with Gulf Coast pride, Mob Towne Revival hails from Mobile, Alabama. The city’s central location along the Third Coast comes through in the music. The band has played in support of such acts as the soulful Laura Reed & Deep Pocket and for hip-hop artists like Gift of Gab and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. MTR combines the sultriness of humid Delta blues, the urban vibe of hip-hop lyricists out of Atlanta, the soul of the New Orleans’ funk scene, and the wild festivities of a Mardi Gras parade. The sound is big. The grooves are contagious & you will be shaking and baking when we hit the stage. MTR has rocked crowds across the Gulf Coast region, headlining clubs and playing festivals like Bayfest and Swamp Fest. It’s Revival time! - The Hangout

MTR has also worked to promote and revive the Gulf Coast music scene through regional and national media. The band was featured in the documentary film Rootsy Hip. They were highlighted on the television music series, M2B (Meant to Be). MTR’s music has been heard on several episodes of the nationally-viewed craft beer-centric web show, Brewing TV.
The tangible energy pumping from the stage at a live performance draws fans and newcomers off the barstools and onto the dance floor where that energy is met and returned with revitalizing spirit and soul. No longer just passive listeners, crowds gather to participate in the Mob Towne Revival. - Bayfest
