Bonnie Is Our Sonic Bids Emerging Artist of The Week

Since their early days at school, Lucho García and Jero Gonzalez were friends who shared a common passion for music. As time went on, they played in several different bands; but it was early in 2007 when they decided to join forces and create something different. All they needed to complete their vision were a lead singer and a drummer, so a few days later, they invited Sofi Garcia (Lucho's sister) and Santiago Lenoble (a friend of a friend) to complete the group.
A few phone calls and a rehearsal later, BONNIE was born. Not even a month passed before they got their first gig, where they played a variety of Classic Rock and Pop Covers, leaving the crowd wanting more. Afterwards, the band was invited to perform in different parties and night clubs and little by little...their audiences grew. Now, while still playing as a cover band in clubs, BONNIE is turning their focus towards writing their own music and professionally recording these new songs as demos. In fact, in June of 2009, "Bonnie" released their first EP titled "Showtime".
Building upon the success that 2009 brought, "Bonnie" is hoping 2010 will be an even bigger year, as they are planning on visiting the United States to do shows and spread their music. Additionally, Bonnie will also be going into the studio to record their first full length album beginning in February of 2010. This will be a special album to the group, because it was funded entirely by people from around the world who loved what they heard on Sellaband.com, which is a funding platform for independent musicians. These people, also known as believers, recognized the potential this young Uruguayan band possesses and backed their album 100%.

Bonnie has reached their $15,000 budget! The Uruguayan pop band have changed their target 12 days ago and there are now two days left for Believers to make up their mind. After Friday November 6th the budget will be closed and Bonnie will hit the studio.
Their plan was set out to record a 10 song album in Argentina starting in February 2010. Looks like the plans can be advanced...
