Wellness Exchange was formed in 2009 with the goal of promoting physical, mental and environmental health by doing what W.E. love most - playing dope music. With performance backgrounds spanning hip hop, classical, jazz, hardcore, soul and pop, the members' professional experiences also include sustainability and educational programs. The band recently began a partnership with Of Rags (ofrags.com), a fair trade clothing company based out of Ghana and also does songwriting & performance workshops with inner-city youth through Urban Art Beat (urbanartbeat.org). With roots in Philadelphia, Boston, Buffalo and New York City, the members now live, write and jam together in three boroughs of NYC. Thriving on improvisation and collaboration, Wellness Exchange often brings in guest performers and strives to make each show a unique exchange of music, entertainment and positive energy.
