Even though music seems to become more commercial each day, a young upcoming artist by the name of Zai McKinney seems to be very unique and full of talent. Zai was born on Jupiter on a disclosed date, but was somehow founded on Earth in late 80's early 90's era. But while being stuck on earth he was raised by a young single Mother by the name of Dedra Mckinney and Grandmother named Sandra Johnson. Being that there was no "father figure" around, by him being the only child, Zai was forced to grow up fast and see a lot of things no child should have witnessed at an early age. But at the same time Zai was also found to be musically inclined & after a long period of perfetcing his craft, Zai has gained a loyal fan base and a reputation for creativity and vocal talent. While living in Cleveland, he began to collaborate with other artists and has been featured on variety of DJs mixtapes. Hip-Hop Blog Ohiohustle.com called Zai McKinney "the most underrated artist in Ohio". His new track "I Make It Awesome" was recently released online and received over 1,000 downloads in one day off a free music sharing site. The upcoming mixtape will feature variety of genres and is widely anticipated across the globe.

Zai's musical influences include old school hip-hop artists such as Erik B and Rakim, as well as performance bands such as Pink Floyd. He aspires to bring a fresh, new sound to hip-hop by incorporating his experience, delivery, musicality and stage performance.
