Conclusion:

This EP will simply grab you & suck you in like a powerful black hole. The strong suit of The Noidz is there modern day marketability & very unique sound. This band was hard for me to pigeonhole. I especially enjoyed Monika?s voice - full of vocal passion, strong musical variety and a wide range of emotions. It's obvious these 5 individuals feel quite comfortable letting it all hang out. At the end of the EP you will find yourself inspired, invigorated & wanting to do it all over again. Bottom Line - It's a wild ride. - Evor

"Music Emissions"

Most would agree most popular artists out there have something truly special to give to their fans. This goes above the typical attributes like raw talent, amazing songs, nice voice, or even a very marketable look, sound & image. Theres something truly infectious at the core of these artists that simply makes us feel good when we listen to them.

Today I listened to the latest EP from Portuguese 5 piece band Noidz (Trancemetal 2011). Venturing to their website it is a very professional presentation. From start to finish this CD from Noidz is a polished sounding teaser of a production. It has a very cutting edge, modern sound & even dabbles in Chill, Dub, Metal, Rock, Techo & Alternative dark pop. I would say the EP title is right in line with their overall sound. Fans of any of these musical styles will enjoy this latest release from Noidz. Its clearly marketed for those who like a male singer with a mystique of say New Order. It reminds me of the popular 90s band Garbage on Steroids. I get the impression Noidz are just rolling with what he knows as artists & writers. Favorite tracks include (O Pastor) & (Root Sounds from Earth). All have amazing feel. Within each one of these compositions vox Monika finds her soul & delivers musical mojo. The band is spot on & just makes the whole CD even more enjoyable with hints on Celtic, rock & eerie chill type overtones.

No doubt Noidz full length CD will be out shortly. I am eager to hear what his next release will sound like. In close Trancemetal by the Noidz lives up to its name in every aspect. Like the title suggests its a fascinating glimpse into a hot new band from overseas.

"Skopemag"

Over the years we’ve seen rock & hard rock slowly erode into over-commercialized, corporate puppet shows providing music that is extremely sing songy, predictable, popish & highly corporate. I hereby call this new breed of music “Poser Rock” & I want to personally thank all the corporate giants for successfully transforming “Sex Drugs & Rock n Roll” into “Yoga, Vitamins, & Nikelback” Of course millions of musical lemmings don’t know the difference, but not everyone is amused. Talking to many music fans out there the response is overwhelming. Give me something new, something raw, something that’s pushes the envelope with a fresh sound that doesn’t leave it soul at the door. Something that doesn’t sound like Nikelback, Daughtry or Lifehouse.

So across my desk slides the new CD by Portuguese based band Noidz entitled “Transmetal Age.” What I heard put a smile on my face. It’s a nice easy flowing EP that delivers solid songwriting with a fresh Techno-metal feel. Noidz reminds me of a modern day Garbage with maybe a hint of New Order & even Ministry. You will also hear a side of Heavy guitar driven techno Rock & even touches of Industrial & Chill. If you like the above bands you should definitely check out this CD.

Overall “Transmetal Age” by The Noidz a solid release with many catchy grooves with a very modern cutting edge sound. I also like the way this band pushes the envelope – having the courage to venture into uncharted water. It’s a record that gives us a fresh glimpse at an amazing artist & takes us back a few years – before everything started sounding like – well Nikelback. - Skopemag

"Root Sounds from Earth is finalist at the International Songwriting Competition"

Noidz are very proud that their last single "Root Sounds From Earth" has been selected in the instrumental category as a finalist by the International Songwriting Competition listening committee. Finalists were chosen from over 15,000 entrants, making this an extraordinary achievement. In fact, this was the most competitive year to date. The finalists' songs have now been sent to the ISC celebrity judges ( Peter Gabriel, Tom Waits, Rihanna, Kings o Leon, Ben Harper, Jeff Beck and many more ) who will select the winners in early May. - ISC

"Silent Scream"

"We may consider them as a heretic wedding between Samael and Icon Of Coil, a two headed monster that’s able to arouse the interest of many music lovers thanks to their heterogeneousness. Very juicy!"

"The Metal Observer, Canada"

“What NOIDZ has done has taken the aesthetics of Techno/Trance and that of Heavy Metal, and created something that isn't a mixture. The two genres exist in a symbiotic environment, both facets of NOIDZ being distinct, yet complementing the whole. Calling this “Dance music with guitars” makes it sound like these guys right monotonous, but that is the most accurate description in spite of itself, mainly because this sounds like what humans, humanoids and aliens will get funky and shake their asses to.”

- The Metal Observer, Canada

"Low Cut"

"Some heavy guitar is mixed with pure electronics but in a very cool way. If you dig Eat Static, Shamanic tribes on Acid"

Scott - Low Cut

"NOIDZ"

Word has reached us via pulse space that we are about to be invaded by Alienoidz from the other side of cyberspace. As yet they have only embarked on a brief reconnaissance mission into our dimension but the footprints they have left behind are quite scary.
They are a five-piece outfit from outer space that seamlessly mix trance and metal into something truly breathtaking. “Metal and dance music, like the prodigy then?” No, these take it to a whole other level, we are talking proper trance and real metal… two types of hardcore meeting to make double fuckin hardcore with nails sticking out of it, like the house band on an Klingon bird of prey.
The tracks on the Myspace are simply rough cuts, so we can’t wait to hear the real thing. Shame you can’t download em… come on Noidz, we wanna blast it out of the Iguanamobile stereo!
The word is, there will be a global release in the very near future and a world tour to go with it, and they will be brining their own stages from beyond the edge of the Milky Way, which does not sound very ‘grass roots’ like the stuff we are normally into, but sounds like one hell of a night out.
That’s about all there is to say at the moment, the whole thing is a bit top secret at the moment to stop people panicing, we will say more when we hear anything.
Noidz… you’re ace… it is not often we get so excited about a band after hearing so little. Please don’t disappoint us! - Pepermint Iguana

Bio

After six years of studio work and on the road, the quintet from another world - Zork, Monkka, Dr Zee, Zdion and Lunattika - released their second album on April. Deepening the fusion of "rock”, “trance" and traditional Portuguese music, they are preparing a new show that will revamp the multimedia features that Noidz's public are already used to seeing.

In a distant galaxy, twenty-thousand light years away, an unknown planet came to an abrupt end after millions of years of evolution.

Five alien creatures who miraculously survived extinction are here on earth today...living among us.

They call themselves NOIDZ!

How did they get here?

Where do they live?

What do they want from us?

No one seems to know, but then again... no one seems to care.

Their internal will remains uncertain

But if you are clever enough to follow their tracks

You will see that they love human creativity

And they need to give something back.

They want to create the next generation.

They want to select you as humanoidz!
