"Quote from Robby Lynn, Nationally Syndicated Radio DJ"

“LeMasters has done it again -- there’s no mistaking his true grit from cut one to cut eleven on One Bird, Two Stones. Put it on long play.” - Sunday's Kind of Country

"Quote from Larry W. King"

“Vivid storytelling from the swampy woods of Southeast Texas.” - Co-Producer of Brave Combo "Holidays" CD

"Quote from Hans de Boer, Radio Loco Americana"

“Just want to tell you that the song ‘River Blues’ is awesome … [T]his music must be heard. We are thrilled by this album.” - Radio Loco Americana, The Netherlands

"Quote from Douglas Greer, Record Producer and Americana Artist"

“Dick LeMasters has become one of my very favorite singer/songwriters. When I played my first acoustic show with him a few years back, I remember asking him, after each song he played, ‘Who wrote that?’ When he kept saying ‘Me,’ I was floored. I love the stories he tells in his songs, and his voice, reminiscent of a mixture of Steve Earle and Jerry Jeff Walker with a bit of Billy Gibbons mixed in, is the perfect delivery system for them. Dick’s new album, ‘One Bird, Two Stones,’ is a wonderful showcase of this true Texas talent. Check out the songs ‘Pestilence and Locusts,’ ‘Power in the Snake’ and ‘Big Ol’ Buick’ and you’ll see what I mean.” - Austin, Texas

"Quote from Glenda Taylor, Texas Music Promoter"

“I love the new CD! I’m wearing out the songs ‘The Wages of Sin’ and ‘Held On Too Long’ by playing them over and over!” - Across The Stage Music Website

Bio

Dick LeMasters was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, and grew up listening to the many notable artists from the area. Favorites include Edgar & Johnny Winter and Janis Joplin. Other Texas influences include Jerry Jeff Walker and Ray Wylie Hubbard. More recently, Steve Earle, Guy Clark and John Hiatt have been important to LeMasters' songwriting style.

LeMasters currently performs solo, with acoustic duo partner Douglas Greer, and with the band Longneck Road. In 2014, LeMasters recorded and is releasing his first solo CD, entitled: "One Bird, Two Stones". The album features eleven original songs, and was recorded by the legendary Floyd Badeaux at Great Recordings Studio in Port Arthur, Texas. Badeaux's studio (still in the same location) holds the distinction of having recorded a teen-aged Janis Joplin prior to her rise to stardom.

In 2009, LeMasters formed the band Longneck Road in Beaumont, Texas, to perform his original music. The band has reached several milestones in its short history, opening shows for The Charlie Daniels Band, Ronnie Milsap, John Anderson, Chuck Berry, Wayne Toups & Zydecajun, Paul Thorn, and Django Walker. Longneck Road also performs at events and festivals in and around Southeast Texas. LeMasters has opened shows as a solo act for Paul Thorn, Thom Shepherd, and for Texas artists Shinyribs, Brian Keane, and John Evans, among others.

LeMasters is a member of SESAC and is an active participant in the Nashville Songwriters Association International, making regular trips to Nashville to perform at writers' nights. LeMasters also performs regularly in Austin, Houston, Galveston, and Llano, Texas, and is a regular performer at the Beaumont Songwriters' Group quarterly Songwriters Cafe events.

Television footage of Dick LeMasters and Longneck Road performing LeMasters' original song "Big Ol' Buick" at the Gulf Coast Music Hall of Fame Concert at the Port Arthur, Texas, Civic Center, is available at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFbk95j8uas

Dick LeMasters is available to perform as a solo acoustic act, with duo partner Douglas Greer, and with Longneck Road as a full electric band or with Longneck Road in an "un-plugged" format. Although the focus of all of these projects is to perform original music, any of these lineups is also suited to perform cover material depending on the needs of the event or venue.
