Bio
Anthony Johnson., known as Prince Gudda, was born and raised in the streets of Miami,
FL (Liberty City). The oldest of 7 in a single parent home, he is familiar with the life of
struggle. Yet, unlike many who chose to linger in thier hardships, he uses his family's
lifestyle to inspire his music. Loving music from an early age, he was inspired by artists
like KRS-One, Tupac and Biggie, as well as old school r&b. He played in the band
throughout school, and sang from an early age. Yet, as his love for hip hop grew, he began
rapping at the age of 13 and hasn't stopped since.
He began to take music more seriously as he grew older. In and out of studios, and
meeting others in the industry, he became part of a rap group when he was younger. Yet,
as he grew, he realized that he wanted the freedom and control of being a solo act. Using
this need for freedom to fuel his musical endeavors, he began to not only write and record
himself, but also create his own record label "Guttaville Music Entertainment". A
businessman first, he took "do it yourself" to a new level for artists, being not only an
"artist", but a writer, producer, graphic designer, and actor.
Being both an entrepreneuer and from a life of struggle has filtered in every portion of his
music. His rugged approach, realistic vision, and thirst for success color the message of
every song. Along the lines of Kendrick Lamar, and Brisco, he spins a colorful
visualization of his life, with the poignance of deeper understanding. While his passion
and energy fill each song, the innovative use of language highlights his struggles, passions
and dreams. A conscious street artist, he uses the element of r&b to bring the sing-a-long
element, in order for his fans to sing along and be a part of his music on and off of the
stage. Like a true performer, his live show is electrifying. He never just performs a song, he
makes it a movie on stage. A people person, he is constantly getting in the crowd and
bringing fans on stage.
Prince Gudda has had recent success with single's "First 48" (feat. Oaktree - No Limit
Forever Records), and "Love Lost", as well as his last mixtape release "The Phenomenon".
He also recently appeared in the films "Recognize" and "Recognize 2". Preparing to release
a new mixtape "DMH: Dope, Money and Hoes", this August, he is definetly paving a path
towards success. VIEW EPK
