Bio
Bonnie Murray Tamblyn is a musician, a mother and a mentor. As a lifelong musician, she has toured extensively throughout the U.S. and recorded her songs with many notable musicians including Duke Bardwell and Butch Hornsby, Merel Bregante and Al Garth. Her debut full-length CD, Return of the Rainbow Girl (2006 Club Louisianne Records), was warmly received by critics and fans alike, recognized for both its, “elemental blend of rock and blues sensibilities laid on a provocative foundation of her early counter-cultural folkie roots, and for its rich and rollicking instrumental layers.” As a pre-cursor to her forthcoming release, Winter Wind, Bonnie released two digital singles in 2011 on Light Rail Records, Lil’ Wind and Love Is.
In her rich and varied career, Bonnie has also avidly embraced the roles of mentor and producer--paths well-suited to coexist with her other main roles--wife to actor Russ Tamblyn and mother to actress/poet Amber Tamblyn and artist/musician, Chinafaye Tamblyn. Among her many production credits as an artist and educator, is as the founder/executive producer of the June Lake Loop Mountain Music Festival, now in its fourth year, and the founder of the non-profit June Lake Loop Performing Arts Association.
