"Local band celebrates its first CD"

“Alex Addy & The Tambourine Machine will not be ignored. Addy, 23, works hard to spread the message that if you aren't loud, then you won't get heard. He and the rest of the band bring their driving, demanding rhythms and unique song writing to the Cloud Nine Hookah Lounge Friday when they celebrate the release of their first CD, "Talkin' About Love."” - Sally Boswell, The Paris News

"Buffalo Joe's Rocked By Alex Addy & The Tambourine Machine"

Buffalo Joe’s was rocked to the sounds of two of the best bands in Paris, Texas on February 10th 2012. The headlining band of the night was eager to jump into the light and give the crowd a high energy night of music. Alex Addy & The Tambourine Machine had fans clustered directly in front of the stage area as they peaked out the sound system with their unique sound involving an aggressive mixture of sweet island sounds and sheer rock n’ roll overtones. This seasoned band of musicians performed magically while keeping the party going, rocking out songs including “For What It’s Worth” by Buffalo Springfield, “The Distance” by Cake, and an awesome rendition of “Rocket Man” by Elton John just to name a few. As the drinks were poured and good times were rolling, The Tambourine Machine gave us all a sneak peak of a couple of songs off of their new project. Look for “Better Man”, and “Clementine” to be added to the collection of Tambourine Machine madness on the next record. - Robbie Gunn, inparistexas.com

"The Depot Bringing Back Rock & Roll"

“The Depot in Paris, Texas has been bringing back the rock! On Saturday August 18th, the stage was set up for a rockin’ reggae explosion! Local favorites Alex Addy & the Tambourine Machine along with Max Jones introduced Shreveport’s very own Stiff Necked Fools. Next to be introduced by Chad Lindsey of My Rock 96.5, were 3 of the most talented musicians around. Clint Lumpkin, Kenneth Thornhill, and Alex Addy of the Tambourine Machine will throw you into a world of percussive bass-driven distortion. When these guys are under the lights, they transform into an electrified engine! Their sound is derived from many Rock & Reggae influences. Alex Addy & company assembled the perfect blend of twisted Texas treats. New original songs like “Feeling in the Air” and “Funky Town Explosion” provoked the party animal in everyone. Check out the video below to catch a sneak peek of what is to come from The Tambourine Machine this winter. ” - Robbie Gunn, inparistexas.com
