"Bowey Station"

"Kick Oneself" - Idiom/Slang commonly used to express regret such as when you miss a show like the Bo Spring Band put on last night.

Seriously, what started out as masterful vocals and soul searching originals evolved into a late night jam session that could not be beat.

If you are a lover of locally produced live music and you missed it, put on the biggest pair of steel toed boots you can find and commence to kicking yourself. For those that were here, it was a night to remember!

Fortunately, the Bo Spring Band will be back as one of our featured performers at ApalachOktoberfest on Sunday October 12th! - Facebook

Bio

The Bo Spring Band is a folk roots band from Port St Joe, Florida featuring songwriting duo Lauren and Bo Spring.  The singers met while performing with The Lost Trailers when they opened for Willie Nelson in 2001.   After marrying and moving to Florida, the they met their bluegrass upright bass player, Randon Hicks and drummer, Tim Dutrow and the Bo Spring Band began.

Recently stretching their songwriting wings, the duo has played with with Nashville heavy hitters Jerry Salley, Charlie Black and Dana Hunt Black.  Playing with Charlie and Dana led to a co-right with the Blacks in 2013 called "Laying Low" and a co-write with Jerry Salley in 2016 called "All God's Children Sing."  "Gethsemane, a song to which friend Jerry Salley lent his vocals and production ear, was recently tapped by Sonorous Entertainment in March of  2015 for a gospel project to be released by Universal Records.

The Band gigs along the Gulf Coast and has opened for Matt Stillwell, MacKenzie Mills and Florida Georgia Line as well as playing festivals and concert series like the Alys Beach Summer Concert Series, Destin Seafood Festival, Scallop Festival, Paddle Jam, Apalach Oktober Fest, Apalachicola Seafood Festival, The Mexico Beach Summer Concert Series and the Blast on the Bay Songwriters Festival.   They stay busy working on an Americana influenced album and recently completed a songwriting project for the official advertising campaign for Mexico Beach recorded in Donnie Sundal's Neptone Records Studio.  Gigging along the Gulf Coast,  their audiences can expect harmony packed songs that span from bluegrass to rock.
