Biography
Though officially formed in Toronto in June of 2004, Señor Kasio’s true birth took place three years later in Dublin, Ireland.  Within days of their departure to the Irish capital, Steve Diguer, the group’s singer and composer, received emails stating that 4 out of their 5 gigs were cancelled.  The remaining show, an outdoor concert at Dublin Pride before about 10,000 people, was scaled back to 3 songs.

Unable to face his guitarist and longtime soul mate Alex Brûlé with the bad news, Steve enlisted some contacts in Dublin to help him out.  Upon arrival, it still looked as though all that time, money, and hard work would result in a 3 song show.

Then the phone started to ring.  Three extra performances to full houses in 3 separate venues.  The crowning moment: a packed house at Dublin’s famous Temple Bar Music Centre, a stage graced by acts like U2, the Cranberries, and Sinead  O’Connor.

Flashback to Toronto, 2004 and the original birth of Señor Kasio.  Out of the ashes of Steve’s original music project, a disco party band called Brother Love Canal, came the insanely addictive single “I Wanna F***” (I.W.F.).  Released in the U.K. through Ark Records, “I Wanna F***” can be accurately summed up as a glorious three-minute hook of a pop song, and as a result of its sheer irresistibility, was featured in clubs across North America, Australia, and Europe. Since then, over 50,000 fans have downloaded the track from Ark’s interactive website.

Now it’s 2008.  Steve and Alex along with drummer Dan Neill are back in studio to record their new singles “No Snow (More S***)” and “Toronto” (Ironically, the biggest crowd pleaser in Dublin).  They are planning a summer tour, but this time closer to home.  Not because they didn’t love their fans in Europe.  But because some over-zealous fans at the outdoor concert in Dublin jumped on stage and accidentally unplugged Steve’s synths halfway through the third song, ending the show early.
