Artist Information Biography The Very People are a rock/soul/funk/pop band playing primarily in Duluth, MN and the twin cities . After the first few months of playing, they had scored a large local following and are looking to expand to other parts of the state and country. They've played shows with Minneapolis favorites The New Congress, Root City Band, and, more recently, with Kip Blackshire. They just performed at Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, MN. With influences such as Stevie Wonder, Prince, Chaka Khan, Cat Stevens, Peter Gabriel, The Strokes, The Meters, The Police, Bob Marley, James Brown and many, many others, The Very People play fun, funky, and memorable songs highlighted by great vocals and exciting musicianship. They just released their debut album, "Standing in Line," which is currently being played on Duluth's KUMD. "The Very People play music for us. [...]The family Luoma is rich with talent.
