Artist Information Biography Maggie responds, “Well, the honest truth is I’ve just never really been a fan of the concept of the title cut. The experience of creating an album, for me, it just can’t be defined by a mere title of one of the songs. But that’s my nature--I’m always looking for more, for something deeper, for greater meaning, to find the relationships and intensify the experience. With “Trust” I really wanted to distill all of the songs down to their essence and try to pinpoint that thread of continuity between them. It was purely coincidental that my experience as a musician during this period was one of exponential growth and learning to trust my own artistic instincts. I was most definitely having a relationship with the concept of trust…and on multiple levels in my life, so it seemed the obvious choice for the title.” One can sense the passion and vulnerability with which Maggie approaches her relationship with her art. Listeners often speak of the intimacy and emotion they experience, while listening to her music. “Music is all about relationships and making that emotional connection with the listener”, she says with intensity. It’s been said she has the voice of an angel, inspiring and soothing. Maggie’s listeners describe the performance experience best: “…Man, she has that kind of voice that just gets you…” “Her voice is simply brilliant!” “Wow, her lyrics just go straight for the heart. Glad I was with a group of people or I would have been in a pool of tears…” "You get the feeling you may have something special in your hand when the desire to listen repeatedly becomes overwhelming."
