Artist Information Biography Gretchen Wolff is a classically-trained singer and pianist, and a self-taught guitarist, Her songwriting combines influences of roots americana, jazz, pop, and folk, brought to life on stage and in the studio by her exceptional skill and artistry as a performer. Intensely focused on musical and artistic growth, she has built her life around a career as a full-time musician, developing her talent in a wide variety of musical styles. Ms. Wolff holds a Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from Oakland University; she works as the pianist and a vocalist in the National Shrine of the Little Flower Church Folk Group, and is the soprano section leader in the Shrine Parish Choir; gives private voice and piano lessons to a roster of more than two dozen students a week, performs as a singer-songwriter in public establishments and private parties, is a guest soloist and chorister for several area churches, teaches music classes in aMontessori preschool, has sung with Michigan Opera Theatre, and has participated twice in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Currently Wolff is working in The Wolff Den (her home studio) and MacTech Studio, and "Strong Ashes," a full-length studio album of all-original material, will be released August 9, 2009.
