Biography
After studying under the repressive bonds of a classical Conservatory of Music, this Northern California native packed her heart and soul and everything else she owned into a truck bound for Los Angeles and the freedom it offered. Kacee wrote, produced, and released her debut CD, SEEING RED, in 1996 and quickly found herself immersed in the vast talent pool of LA, working side by side with players she once admired from a distance equivalent to the space between any given stage and her seat in the venue.

In the summer of 2001, Kacee was cast in the role of a lifetime: playing the lead in Off-Broadway's "LOVE, JANIS", an extreme rock musical about the life and music of legendary singer Janis Joplin.

In early 2002, she was asked to join BIG BROTHER & THE HOLDING CO., Joplin's original San Francisco-based band, as their lead vocalist. She spent the next couple of years performing for packed venues full of screaming fans, carving out a name for herself, and solidifying her reputation as a raw and energetic power-house.  She continues in that capacity when available.

2005 once again brought amazing change for Kacee. She joined forces with rock icon JOE COCKER as a background singer on his Heart & Soul world tour.  In early 2008, she completed a second world tour to support his newest CD release, "Hymn For My Soul."

Kacee's sophomore effort, MAMA CAME TO SING, had to be squeezed into the gaps and seams of a busy touring life. It was a long time in the making but well worth the wait. Teaming up with close friends Tom Lilly (producer) and Jon Nichols (both of the BETH HART BAND) proved to be the magical combination necessary to bring the project to fruition. Mama is a blend of hard-hitting rock, funky folk, groovy blues, and moody pop. It is the culmination of lonely days spent on the road and crazy nights spent writing in the studio, and promises to deliver the raw vocals and powerful lyrics Kacee is known for.

Kacee completed a highly successful run of "LOVE, JANIS" at the Kansas City Repertory Theatre in April '07, then returned in December to co-star alongside Broadway phenom, Gregory Porter, in "REPARTEE '07," a Broadway review.

CURRENT NEWS:  Kacee is once again joining the cast of "LOVE, JANIS" at the Downstairs Cabaret Theatre in New York.  Shows will run from May 1 to June 7, 2009.  In September, she looks forward to continuing the "Complices" tour with LUIS MIGUEL.

Kacee draws from an amazing collection of touring/session players who work on a rotating basis, depending on who is available.  The band generally consists of Vocals, Drums, Bass, Keys, Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar.
