Biography
After a run as writer and frontman for the the raucous live band, Love County, Oklahoman and now Austin resident, Clay Berkes, went into the studio to record his first record and Medicine Park was born.  At the helm as producer is much accomplished bass player and all around great guy, George Reiff (Jakob Dylan, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Charlie Sexton)  Tracked live at Bruce Robison's Premium Recording in Austin, Texas, the record has a raw understated quality and shows off tone and depth achieved by recording straight to 2" tape. Some songs hover on the edge of folk, and others lean toward orchestral pop.  The record highlights former and current members of acts ranging from John Mayer, Spoon, Son Volt, and David Byrne. Look forward to a feb. 2010 release date and tour support. In the mean time there will be a select few local Austin area shows.
