Biography
Lucid has been touring and playing "wood rock", their brand of rock n' roll, blues, folk and funk for the last five years, pleasing fans all over New England: in their home region of the Adirondacks, NY across Lake Champlain in Burlington, and all over Vermont, in New York City, Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, Boston, and many towns in between that have welcomed their fury and finesse.

Lucid hosts Backwoods Pondfest, a two-day music festival that they conceived in 2007 with KALI Productions, and put on in 2008 and 2009 with additional support from Chris Boire (a local business owner). Not only does the band close the show both nights each year, playing with such bands as Assembly of Dust, The Ryan Montbleau Band, The Breakfast, U-Melt, RAQ, Twiddle, Spiritual Rez, Roots of Creation and Hot Day at the Zoo,  they also contribute to all aspects of the show: building the stage, managing and participating in the stage crew and security teams, and providing and executing the lighting for the show.

A completely original band, Lucid has been producing their own albums since their inception. Their debut album, "Miles Deep," was recorded in Vermont at Chuck Eller Studios. The production in this release reflects the outstanding professionalism of the studio: Chuck has worked with bands like The Allman Brothers, Phish, Oysterhead, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, and Big Joe Burrel – all influences on the members of the band. Lucid has recently put the finishing touches on their second album, Dewdmanwah. Always interested in fresh approaches, they pursued a more homegrown sound, recording with producer, engineer, rapper, and good friend Benn Erb at Sound Loom Studios.  Both albums have recieved air time on radio stations in both VT and NY (WEQX 102.7, Manchester, VT, MP103.3, Plattsburgh, NY/Burlington, VT, WEXT97.7, Albany, NY, 106.7WIZN, Burlington, VT).

Lucid's sound can be described as a brew of rock n' roll, blues, folk and funk that finds far-reaching appeal over all ages and backgrounds. A wide array of instrumentation gives them the ability to create organic and diverse pieces of music that evoke familiarity while maintaining a fresh approach to classic styles.
