Biography
Paired with the mystical nature of the mandolin, Lauren's vocals charge out with strength and honesty.

In 2004 she moved to New York City where various poetry readings led her to join two musicians to play the tabla drum and perform spoken word. She soon began playing percussion for the bossa nova group, Las Vandelays, and was approached by a percussionist looking to start a group known as Kukurudu.  Engaging her belly dance and percussion skills, the highly energetic, enlivening show hit venues throughout New York City including Rockwood Music Hall, The Lion's Den, I.C.U., Maxwells, Wild Spirits, and CBGB's.

During this time, Lauren was magnetically drawn to the mandolin and found that it created a dynamic method for expressing her poetry.  Quickly building technique, by the end of the year she had left Kukurudu and was performing as a singer and songwriter.

Lauren has returned to Seattle and continues to write music, and performs around the city.  Her edgy lyrics and enlightening views challenge audiences to open their minds and live dynamically through soul and liberation.

In the Seattle area she has performed at Chop Suey, Skylark Cafe & Club, El Diablo Coffee Company, The Mainstage, Hotwire Coffeehouse, La Familia Gallery, The Mix, cabaret night at Teatro Zinzanni, and The Can Can.
