Biography Church Affiliation: Shiloh Baptist Church, Rockville Centre, New York Pastor: Rev. Herman Washington Mission Statement: Philippians 4:13, "I Can Do All Things Through Christ Which Strengthen Me". Our goal is to make music that strengthens the heart of man. By providing songs that all ages can enjoy collectively when entering into the presence of God, we hope to show people that teaching the next generation about Christ early in life can bring about true ties that bind. Love The Christian Music Label, LTC Music: LTC Music Label combines urban & traditional expressions of praise to bridge generation gaps and witness about the freedom found in Jesus Christ. Bio: Da' Alternative Da Alternative for a Blessed Generation With a crystal clear delivery and rhymes that spark both imagination and praise, up and coming Gospel hip-hop artist and New York native Da' Alternative is leading the way for a blessed generation who want the truth in both music and ministry. Dubbed 'Da Alternative' for a reason, Da' Alternative offers a fresh sound and message to the growing community of hip-hop fans and supporters. Those that are young in age or just young at heart can't escape the musical appeal of Da' Alternative's beats and the spiritual appeal of his lyrics. While most of his hip-hop influences are mainstream, which helped to perfect his use of symbolism and metaphor in his rhymes, Da' Alternative sites gospel greats such as Fred Hammond, Yolanda Adams, and Tonex as being most influential in his style of ministry. "I love Tonex because he allows the world to experience all of him, the good, the bad, everything. He doesn't mind putting himself out there or speaking about his past." And Da' Alternative's past didn't always include gospel music. After spending a few years as a mainstream artist, Da' Alternative began his Gospel hip-hop career after writing and performing the lead song in the Billy Holiday Theater production of the hit play, "He's Here" in 2001. Enthused by the spiritual response he received from combining his love of God with his love of hip-hop, Da' Alternative continued on the path of developing his ministry as a Gospel hip-hop artist. "I don't pretend to be "holier than though". I'm still the same laid back, fun loving crazy dude, with more knowledge about Christ and his meaning in my life. Its time for me to share what he's been to me with the world, especially the youth," stated Da' Alternative And share he does - at venues ranging from churches to community colleges to resorts. Da' Alternative is currently working on a double CD project with LTC Music label mate and mother Linda B. Scheduled for release at the end of 2005, the project represents the best of both worlds. Wanting to capture an audience that spans generations, the joint venture will feature the R&B style gospel harmonies of Linda B. Da' Alternative's portion will focus on communicating the importance of repentance, redemption, and rejuvenation - all in his characteristic imaginative style. Already creating buzz, Da' Alternative's singles "Opportunity Taken" and "Da Rapture" are being played on WGBB 1420 AM. It's easy to understand why his songs are catching on. Da' Alternative has received national recognition for his song writing capabilities - placing 1st in the "2005 Bump My Song Live" competition and also receiving an Honorable Mention Certificate from the 11th Annual Billboard Song Contest. Whatever praise he receives for his talent, it is the gift of being able to uplift, encourage, and entertain the next generation that Da' Alternative finds most important. "I am very passionate about enlightening the Youth. I feel that it's my job to show them that walking in the path of righteousness doesn't mean your fun life ends and you become this stagnant being - instead your life becomes more fulfilling." Bio: Linda B. With Contemporary Christian Music on the rise, the unique singing/songwriting and production style of Linda, is sure to make its mark on the industry. As many success stories, Linda's career began in the church, where she held her first gospel recital at age 9. She soon went on to perform at weddings, funerals, conventions, music festivals and many other types of events, including R&B performances in some of New York's top nightclubs, theatres, schools, halls, radio stations, and television networks. During Linda's career, she also worked with world reknown artist, Jacqueline and Robert Poindexter (A Thin Line Between Love & Hate). Linda has transitioned to a popular Urban/New Traditional Gospel singer, securing the opportunity for the Gaston Singers to open up for the national recording artist Ce Ce Winans. Linda was selected as one of the finalist for the Song Spotlight '03 in Florida. She is also an affiliate of the World Vision Artist Associate Program. Linda is the Owner/President of Walking In Freedom Publishing and Owner/President/CEO of LTC Music (Love The Christian Music) and the manager of G.O. Praise Dancers and Da' Alternative, a Holy Hip Hop Artist/songwriter. G.O. Praise Dancers Expressing Joy Through Movement The G.O. Praise Dancers merge modern, hip-hop, ballet, and liturgical dance into a visual and audible praise experience. Formed in 2002, the spiritual dance troupe includes professionally trained dancers Michelle Mc Junkins, Monique Williams, Tawana Bessellieu, and Elvira Brittenum. God's Own (G.O.) Praise Dancers do more than just dance - but invite the Holy Spirit in with beautiful and powerful movements that inspire the audience to see that they are more than conquerors. Under the management of LTC Music Label, G.O. Praise Dancers have ministered at conferences, churches, resorts, malls, and youth rally's. With 15 years of combined dance ministry experience, whatever the venue, they showcase the complete freedom found in worshipping God - as only praise dancing can do. The dance trio found its beginnings after member Tawana Bessellieu found herself filling in for a missing background dancer for her mother and label mate Linda B.'s R&B act. When Linda B. saw the raw talent her daughter had been gifted with, she knew it was of God. To make room for Tawana's gift and other young people with the talent and dedication to serve God, she later formed the G.O. Praise Dancers. While Michelle, Monique, Tawana and Elvira list mainstream dancers Debbie Allen, Aliyah, and Janet Jackson as influences, their ministry is all about Christ. With a belief that those who witness their dance ministry will see Jesus through them and want to know more about the savior, G.O. Praise Dancers put their all into crafting a worship experience that's both pleasing to the eye and to the soul. Most recently, G.O. Praise Dancers ministered at the Chenaniah's "2nd Annual Dancing With Authority" conference. They are also slotted to perform on a cable television show and performance video with label mates Linda B., and Da' Alternative. And with a mini-tour scheduled for the year of 2006, G.O. Praise Dancers are keeping busy showing others that with Christ, all things are possible.
