She is inspired by her mother an outstanding vocalist, piano player and voice coach. Her desire to pursue a career singing and performing started at a very young age. Born in the Midwestern region of the U.S.A., Jameelah comes from a family of musicians and singers and is known for performing the covered songs of Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Teena Marie, Patti La Belle, Billy Holiday, Etta James, Jill Scott, Alicia Keys, The Emotions, Heather Headley, EnVogue,Chaka Khan, Erica Badu and many of the neo-soul and smooth sounding artist of today and yesterday, receiving much recognition for our unique and outstanding talent.
