GFSoldier (GOD-Fearing Soldier)

Born Hilton Christopher Young, GFSoldier is an anointed, and lyrically gifted spiritual spoken word artist and stage play actor out of New Orleans, Louisiana. GFSoldier now resides in Dallas Texas as a result of Hurricane Katrina. GFSoldier’s mind-blowing performances are specifically and distinctively designed to cut, penetrate, and pierce the very depths of the soul and minister to the most intricate parts of the inner being. It is instructively and constructively put together to permeate the inward most parts of the belly and the human spirit. His scriptural, bible inspired poetry can be best described as inspirational, motivational, revelational, biblical, exegetical, spiritual, and sermonic all in rhyme sequence. GFSoldier has blown the minds of audiences in church congregations, and open “mic” venues all over the nation. In his performances, he delivers his poetry with intensifying passion, and exceptionally powerful preaching emotionalism. GFSoldier has performed at various places in Louisiana and Texas at poetry venues such as the True Brew Café where Pozazz Productions is the host in New Orleans, Louisiana and Sankofa Arts Café in Dallas, Texas. He also, has performed at Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church where Bishop Paul S. Morton Sr. is the senior pastor. GFSoldier has also participated in the 2005 Southern Fried Regional Poetry Slam Competition in Charlotte North Carolina, and the 2005 National Poetry Slam Competition in Albuquerque, New Mexico. GFSoldier also does performances at weddings, men’s, women and youth conferences. GFSoldier has also ministered at juvenile correctional facilities, maximum security penitentiaries, colleges, and universities.
