Artist Information Biography The band that would soon become known as The Kellys began its formation in Warren, Ohio, late 2002. After solidifying a talented nucleus and a loyal fan base through the independent release of two albums and a multitude of live shows, The Kellys wasted little time in propelling themselves to the forefront of the Youngstown music scene. By blending the powerful vocals of lead singer Kelly McCracken with the guitar stylings of Joel DeGenova and the explosive rhythm section consisting of Moe Angelo (bass) and Matt Holko (drums), The Kellys have developed a reputation for high energy, emotionally charged live performances. It's been said that The Kellys have "already patented a sound that’s close to what the Cars and Weezer might have cooked up together during a weekend in Jamaica," and that "they call their original music indie/rock/powerpop, but opera rock might be a better description." Whatever you label it, it will always be, uniquely, The Kellys.
