Artist Information Biography The hard penetrating, self-reflective vocals of this 'Myspace Featured & URB Magazine Next 1000 Artist' poignantly illustrate that true school hip hop is alive and well.  Born in Kansas City, MO and raised in Maryland, E Reece is unlike any artist you have ever heard or seen.  This talented lyricist, songwriter, poet, and musician keeps your attention at every turn.  His live show is sure to leave you thouroughly invigorated with his live band "Core Elements," which he formed in early 2005. His love of music began when he began to study jazz saxophone at age 12.  Early influences include Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder and James Brown and later to A Tribe Called Quest, EPMD, KRS-One and various other eastcoast artists.  High school is where it all began when he started freestyling with his boys and developing his own style.  Later he would hone his skills at open mic nights and any cipher he could get in.  A love for hip hop has developed into a growing career with from MD to NYC to LA, where he currently resides. His music transcends all cultures.
