Artist Information Biography In the few years Southern California’s Chrysalis has been together, they’ve released multiple successful recordings, toured the Western United States, been featured in numerous media outlets (ESPN X-Games, Metal Edge Magazine, Wii video game, among others), and shared the stage with the likes of Agent Orange, TSOL, A Day to Remember, Powerman 5000, Fear Before, Heavy Heavy Low Low, and The Apex Theory. The recent release of their first full length self-titled album, which recently became one of CDbaby.com’s all-time best selling in the genre, landed the band and endorsement deal with Ed Stone rock wear (Trivium, Lamb of God, ect.), and a non exclusive licensing deal with Audiosocket Music. The 11 song self-produced disc also marks the debut of 2nd guitarist Chris Norris, and Keyboardist Noel Castillo. The added instrumentation gives the band new musical ground to explore, and the effects are quite noticeable. The songs on "Chrysalis" are more lush, layered, and musically complex than anything else previously released by the band.  Overall Chrysalis has crafted a diverse, interesting, and surprisingly thoughtful sound that sets them apart from their contemporaries.  Fans of various rock and metal sub-genres should all find something of liking in the band’s difficult to categorize sonic offering.
