Artist Information Biography Steve Rea & The Corduroy Bones Band perfom original and cover music. Influences can be felt from far and wide the musical spectrum drawing from the sounds of rock, blues, folk and acoustic genres. As one watches Steve Rea perform it's not hard to tell that he feels every note and every lyric, whether it's an original song or someone elses composition the approach is the same. "He's simply an artist, and a damn good guitar player", is how one listener put it. The story's the same for bassist Corey Peiur and Drummer- Percusionist Matt Brege; i.e. 'The Corduroy Bones Band'. Corey & Brege have been sharing stages for some time now, ranging from infamous juke joints like "The Tenth Avenue" in Northern Michigan and outlying venues like Hoppe's Hutt in Spratt Flatts. When these troubadours hit the stage together a truelly unique sonic lanscape results. Steve Rea & Corduroy Bones' music has graced numerous venues throughout the midwest and has been showcased on WKLT radio's Northern Michigan Rocks compilation CDs, as well as their own 2004 "Green Album" release. Thought pervoking, lyrically sound songs with tasteful guitar riffs and rhythmic grooves would describe original compositions. Live outings range from a full on band to solo acoustic performances by Steve. Which ever the format attendees can expect an energetic show filled with heavy doses of feeling and passion.
