Biography
Richard Evans (Arranger, 10-time Grammy Award Winner) calls her the “Cannonball Adderly of vibes players” for her soulful, yet powerful, straight-forward approach to jazz.
Vibraphonist/Composer Natalie Dietrich is a rare find. An intelligent jazz musician who has taken to forming a group so she can not only extend her range on the vibraphone but, as well, serve as the outlet her brilliant compositions of contemporary, yet classic pieces. She counts Chick Corea, Ralph Towner, Herbie Hancock, and Igor Stravinsky as her most formidable influences.  Austria’s esteemed Berndorf Magazine loved their “innovative blend of sounds.”

Just here in the States for a few years, Dietrich is well known in her native Europe having worked with Wolfgang & Christian Muthspiel, Mathias Rüegg, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, basel sinfonietta, Charles Dutoit, Martha Argerich, Sophia Gubaidulina, Rhythmusa, Sina, Juan Munguia and many more.

The group features Natalie Dietrich on Vibraphone and Scott deOgburn on Piano. With the addition of Drummer Engin Gunaydin’s and Bassist John Funkhouser's innovative and tasteful counterparts, lines and grooves, the Group builds a unique Contemporary Jazz sound, energetic, yet playful, and wonderfully colored.
