The Secret is out! The Secret Samurai is a three piece instrumental surf wrecking machine. Their reverb drenched attack is both melodically and rhythmically complex which induces uncontrollable hip shaking on the part of their audience.
Based in San Diego, CA, The Secret Samurai can be found bringing their instrumental surf gospel to the unwashed masses in Southern California.
The band includes Ryan Ruiz (Surf Report) on lead guitar, Steve Van Wyk (Surf Report) on bass, and Bill Zuck on drums.
The band released their debut CD, GUN-SHO-GUN, in 2008 which garnered critical success from around the world. They have toured the Soutwestern U.S. (CA, AZ, NV) and Northern California and have opened for such instrumental luminaries as Laika and The Cosmonauts (Finland). The Secret Samurai are currently preparing for the recording of their sophmore release.
