Biography
Set In Stone is from the small mountain community of the Kern River Valley which is located in California. Our music is positive and inspired by the teachings of the bible and our life experiences. We give praise and glory to God and feel truly blessed by the gifts he has bestowed upon us. Michael's vocals are distinctive and passionate. Kenny's guitar playing is intense and full of energy; he is truly becoming a master of his craft. John's keyboards fill the space with a sweet variety of sounds and melodies, and with Paul's incredible drum style creates the unique sound of Set In Stone.
We have played together off and on in various bands for the past 25 years. In 2005 we joined forces again and created Set In Stone. A year later John joined up. Our individual styles and influences vary from rock, country, jazz, classical and the blues. Our devotion to our Lord is mirrored in our lyrics.
We’re not chasing today’s sound but are creating our own. You don’t need to be young or old, Christian or not, because our lyrics reach out to those with similar trials and tribulations. Our goal is to help those in need and share the gospel with others.
Our recently released CD "In God We Trust" is a definite must have. It is very upbeat, and a great way to begin your morning by setting the tone for the rest of your day.
