Biography
John Bolten is an avid songwriter and steward of the Appalachian condition. A Parkersburg, WV native, John started playing guitar at a young age and  began writing songs soon after.  His interests in music stem from studying traditional styles of storytelling through music, and discovering innovative songwriting within the many expressive styles that are being created today. John has been referred to as "a songwriter's songwriter", and has sporadically been performing in SC and the DC area for the last five years.  He sang and played banjo for the Columbia, SC group The Plowboys, and Virginia's Whiskey Darlings.

John continues to passionately listen, observe, and create by "walking through the ghosts and telling their stories".

He plans to record his first album in Summer, 2008.
