Influenced by everything from Chicago blues to Memphis soul, the John Shaw Group has rocking originals and extremely fresh takes on great covers that work audiences to a fit of dancing bliss. After more than 60 shows in and out of Nashville, and a few changes in personnel and sonic vision, John Shaw Group has finally hit its stride. A newly recorded EP and shows throughout the Southeast and Midwest have entertained crowds from college age, who draw on the bands fresh energy and dance friendly groove; to more mature audiences who dig their classic sound. Regardless of the venue, audience, or format John Shaw Group comes to play, and brings everything they have to the stage in order to telegraph this classic sound to the masses.
