Artist Information Biography Emerging from and defying the "scene" of South Jersey music, Bound by Nothing has already redefined what it means to be a modern rock band. Reflecting their working class American origins, the band crafts music about subjects as varied as socioeconomic commentary, love, loss and inner conflict all set to a unique fusion of post-hardcore and alternative rock. Without image, ego or avarice BxN strives to make music that is both beautiful and edgy. Writers Matt Clarke and Jim Dallett continue to create catchy and unique original music through the combining of their distinct writing styles. Fans have been noted as saying "BxN doesn't sound like any other band", "You never know what to expect next" regarding the diverse and dynamic set lists the band brings to live audiences of all ages. Clarke's lyrics deliver a strong message that is emphasized by a tastefully heavy rhythm section driven by Dallett's chordal guitar riffs. Bound by Nothing prides themselves on the diversity of their musical repertoire. Songs like "Root" show BxN's chunky, heavy rock side while "Take Me Down" and "Hold On" demonstrates the band's ability to shift gears into power ballad mode. Although "No Apologies" depicts a darker, more haunting approach taken by Clarke to real life issues, Dallett's "United" has become an anthem due to it's altruistic and upbeat take on the band's outlook and goals. It's no surprise that Bound by Nothing is creating some of the most unique, dynamic and catchy original music in their area; if you're not careful, the hook might grab you too.
