Biography
What binds together an airport management consultant, an electrical engineer/computer geek, a commercial banker, a family therapist/psychologist/philosopher and a tree hugging lawyer?  Chords of music - which these five musicians have woven into an impressive musical tapestry hailed as Baltimore Road.  This band’s distinct sound is the collaboration of powerful lyrics, melodies stacked in harmony and strong instrumental backing - all of which showcase five wonderful voices.

Baltimore Road is Pam Reilly (vocals, guitar and percussion), Wayne Ashley (vocals, guitar, mandolin, keyboards, bass and harmonica), Tom Ploquin (vocals, guitar, bass), Ken Taylor (vocals, drums, keyboards) and Stewart Fay (vocals, bass, 12-string guitars) and they’ve been rolling out their unique brand of original music to critical acclaim at venues in southern Manitoba since 2004.

Country, blues, rock and roll, funk and 1930's jazz...years of separate influences, writing and playing independently: Pam and Wayne as a folk-rock duo; Tom as a blues-rocker, Ken as a funk/R&B-er and Stew as a country-rocker...ultimately meshed into the magic of Baltimore Road.  Influences such as The Mamas & Papas, The Eagles, The Beatles, The Byrds, Gordon Lightfoot, Ian Tyson, Dire Straits, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Heart, Hoagy Carmichael and Steely Dan…all colour the musical canvas that emerges distinctly as Baltimore Road.

The listener can anticipate a journey through the folk-rock era of the 1960's, with a detour to some raucous old-time whimsy, back to the laughter and tears of everyday life.  Their songs speak of relationships, love & life with all the emotions those subjects evoke.  Purely and simply - they entertain.
