Biography
Indian Summer Jars formed a super group of sorts, with Sarah King and Sarah Beth originally starting out as solo singer/songwriters.  Both became acquainted with one another, and decided that two heads definitely are better than one.  Better yet, two Sarah's!
Their collection of over two hundred songs are like campfire hymns, something elemental like carbon or ash resides in them.  They are intimate, holding tightly to the listener as a flame holds to a wick.  The music itself is able to pick through the forest of the human mind-forests we never know until we enter them.  Their sound is like and interval in the din and clutter of our high-paced lifestyles, each note remaining singular in its timbre, overflowing with creative tunings and innovative progressions.  The calluses on their fingers attest to a deep rooted love for sound, and so can the crack down the belly of Sarah Beth's favorite guitar, a fissure that emerged from the blow of her hand while entranced in a rhythm, a blow like Aphrodite's from the ocean.  Yeah, it's that powerful.

Indian Summer Jars has just wrapped up their new album, titled Similar.  All sixteen tracks are original and it was recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by Jason Rubal of Seventh Wave Productions.  With this new record to drive them forward, they are also eager to play main stage at several festivals this year, Friendship Fest (DE),  The Little Buffalo Arts Festival (PA), and Ripefest (PA).  Last summer, Sarah Beth held a prime performance and closed the show at the Rehoboth Beach Singer Songwriter showcase, hosted by Atticus Entertainment, 2007.

Celtic and earthy, visceral and new, Indian Summer Jars creates a whole environment of their own with their ever flowing rhythms, words, and harmonies.

Thank you for taking the time to listen.
