SIRSY (pronounced "sir - see"):

This FIERY, SULTRY, SOULFUL, INDIE POP ROCK DUO is a musical breath of fresh air in the too often homogenized landscape of indie rock. SIRSY is fronted by the charismatic Melanie Krahmer who critics call a girl with a "stunning voice capable of a lion's roar and a floaty whisper"... a girl "with the lungs of a teenage athlete and the growl of a sixty-something blues singer". Krahmer is also the band's drummer, playing a full drum kit (while STANDING UP), bass parts (on a keyboard with her drum stick), a few Ian Anderson-esque flute solos and melodica, too.  Sharing the stage is bandmate and co-writer, Rich Libutti on guitar.  Libutti also sits in on piano and bass, and he even plays bass parts on a keyboard at his feet, and the occasional snare part with his feet (during Krahmer's flute solos - so the drums don't stop).

Despite the multi-tasking on stage to create such a full sound, this critically acclaimed duo has a dynamic stage presence that wows audiences at over 250 shows per year nationally.  SIRSY has played with: Maroon5, Lifehouse, Collective Soul, Third Eye Blind, Blues Traveler,  Cheap Trick, Vertical Horizon, Fuel, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Boys Like Girls, and many more.

SIRSY's well crafted, hook laden, songs are rich with infectious melodies and clever, fresh, and often emotionally raw lyrics.  SIRSY's song "Revolution" was distributed worldwide through the November 2008 Relix Magazine CD (alongside Joan Osborne, Lucinda Williams, more). “Revolution” is also the opening track of the film, “So Right, So Smart” (starring Darryl Hannah, Bare Naked Ladies).  SIRSY is played on over 300 radio stations nationally (and charted in the TOP 200 on CMJ).

"LITTLE BAND, BIG SOUND!"
          (---The Boston Globe/ Boston, MA)

"Melanie Krahmer can sing, scream, blow flute, drum, and tease, and she does them all REALLY well. Rich Libutti plays everything else (he even uses his feet).  If you like live bands that rock, go see SIRSY!"
(----The Village Voice/ New York, NY)

"Er... wow.  I mean WOW! While their music is radio friendly, and their looks are eye-friendly, the material is actually REALLY good. Like pop songs used to be before MTV".
(----Indie Sounds NY/ New York, NY)

"Startlingly full sound... catchy, energetic, soulful... Inventive Rock and Roll".
          (----Hartford Courant, Hartford, CT)
