Biography
Sitticus is a three piece rock, blues, and jam band from Aurora, IL consisting of Jacob Mack on Lead/backing vocals and guitar, Vinnie (Vince) Pacione on Lead/backing vocals and bass, and Lane Wright on drums.
Sitticus started in January '08. Since then, we've played out regularly, and truly impressed audiences everywhere we've gone. We are not a garage band; we play shows. With Vince's funk style of bass playing, Lane's complex rhythms, and my (Jake, Guitar) own guitar flavor, we've made a great mix that everyone enjoys.
What do we strive for? Whatever you may define as "the top." Along with consistent practices, good sound, perfectionism, and highly entertained audiences, we also have a list of accomplishments within the last year going for us.
Some Accomplishments are:
-We recently (in August) won a "Battle of the Bands" competition.
-The prize for the competition was 15 hours of recording time at JPL Records in Cary, IL. We recorded a professional demo January 16, 17, and 18, 2009.
-We have been mentioned in Aurora, IL's Beacon News for playing at Prisco's Next Door Cafe in Aurora.
-The victory at the battle of the bands had an article written about it Batavia's newspaper.
-Sitticus (currently) averages about 4 shows a month. We will be playing more frequently as we expand our following.
-Sitticus is always asked to return wherever we play. Examples include: The Batavia Triathlon, A private party in Batavia, Prisco's Next Door Cafe, Kelly's Bar and American Grill we got to play with Buddy Guy's ex-sax player at this show; he enjoyed our music very much), Chord On Blues, we have several shows lined up at Payton's Roundhouse in Aurora, IL, and the House Cafe in Dekalb, etc.
Sitticus is already a success story. We guarantee you that any audience will enjoy us, no matter where we go.
