Biography
Gaylynn Robinson has spent a lifetime playing country music venues; sharing the stage with some of the most well-known country artists and legends.
Gaylynn is the real thing and is not only a fine performer but her compositions bring forth a thoughtful and provocative brand of simple truth and genuineness. This might explain her broad and diverse fan base that entails a sampling of people from all ages and all walks of life.
Gaylynn’s previous album, Songs By A West Texas Songstress, presented a calling card to a worldwide audience, earning her a large and loyal following. In 2007, two releases from the album hit #3 and #22 on the European country music charts. Also, in 2007, she received two nominations by the Academy of Western Artists for "Pure Country Female Vocalist" and "Pure Country Song". Gaylynn’s new release, Love & Heartache is a 10 song tour de force extending Gaylynn’s worldwide appeal, landing her The 2009 Texas Music Award nomination for "Female Vocalist of The Year".
Gaylynn is a passionate artist and likewise, so are her fans. With the advent of the internet, she has been able to reach out internationally and share her music with a whole new audience that has shown an overwhelming support for her art. With this in mind and as a means to keep full creative control of her music, she formed her own record label and publishing company.
This native Texan makes it all work on her own terms, as an audaciously independent artist with an indisputable connection to her audience. Her stage presence reveals an artist that loves performing and connecting to her audiences. No matter the size of the show, she gives 110%. There is no substitute for authenticity and in a genre crowded with wide-eyed poseurs, Gaylynn proves to be the real article.
