Having studied styles such as Classical, Musical Theatre, Gospel, Pop, R&B, Blues & Jazz, a collective palate tempts any listener. Through stories shared in my music, the connection with audiences and musicians alike, continues to blossom.
I have been a jazz performer in San Diego since 2003. My first concert as a Band Leader was performed in Honor of the late Nina Simone at Dizzy’s. Fahrenheit Magazine called it the "Show not to miss…" and was graced by the presence of Dr. Carrol Waymon, Nina Simone's brother.
While paying homage to Jazz Legends my performances have also included Tribute's to Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet, The Great Ladies of Jazz & Betty Carter. In this way I continue to utilize my platform for Jazz in San Diego as a musician and educator.
I have had the honor of performing with artists such as Christian McBride, Gregory Hutchinson, Carl Saunders, Kristin Korb, Patrick Berrogain, Glen Fisher, Bruce Cameron, Joe Marillo, Brett Sanders, Gilbert Castellanos, Mikan Zlatkovich, Rob Thorsen, Gunner Biggs, Dan Papaila, Soweto Kinch & Sacha Boutros among others.
In addition to singing, I volunteer my time in the community and have worked with numerous organizations. As the Promotions Assistant at Jazz 88.3 in San Diego, I worked closely with the Jazz Community at large and continue to volunteer on a regular basis.
