Biography
Adam Kurtz's songs are personal and rhythmically melodic, with creative word play and subtle sarcasm, not to mention intricate guitar leads, lush harmonies and immediately moving and addictive hooks.  Kurtz grew up in the Boston area playing Beatles songs and recording original - albeit wacky - songs on a 4-track, and playing in various bands as lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter.  After college, Kurtz moved to Maine and started Kino Proby, an adrenaline pumping power trio tribute band to Russia's Kino and Viktor Tsoy.  Kino Proby developed a loyal cult following of Americans and Soviets alike, playing as far away as St Petersburg, Russia.  Kurtz began to record solo music (in English), releasing Halfway Rock (2006) and The Devil is Defeated (2008). Kurtz is working on his 3rd studio album which revolves around the theme of surviving a catastrophe.
