Carolyn Lee Jones is an accomplished vocalist and band leader. Performing with musicians in Dallas, New York City and abroad, her style is open, easy, smooth and classy. Whether she is singing those swinging jazz standards, beautiful ballads or upbeat pop tunes, Carolyn embraces her audience and the music with heart and soul.

Born and raised in Nebraska , one day she hopped on a bus with 21 suitcases and boxes, $200, her best friend in tow and off they went to “Big D” yes, Dallas Texas! Her first professional career was in retailing. Wanting to be a fashion commentator, and those jobs being few and far between, she ended up as a buyer traveling the world. These travels gave her opportunities to perform and to meet other musicians and songwriters around the world.
"Music has always been a part of my life. When growing up, I was always involved in choirs and other vocal groups. My Mom was an accomplished pianist and my Dad was a singer with a beautiful tenor voice."
A few years ago, always having the desire to be a professional singer, she decided it was now or never. She would perform, as she had always wanted to, live, with a full 6 piece band as the main vocalist. So she threw herself a birthday party.
"I had the good fortune of meeting Julie Bonk who led the band that evening, a great pianist and musician." Julie was also Norah Jones’ jazz piano teacher in Dallas. And, as the story goes, the party was a success and a new singer and performer was born!
Since that time, Carolyn has lead her own trio and quartet performing in a variety of Cabarets and Clubs, Public Venues and Private Parties from Paris to NYC and of course at her home base in Dallas Texas.
