Artist Information Biography Abbot Kinney is an indie rock band carving out a sound of their own with powerful melodies, at times lilting others haunting, carried on a sheet of dissonance. While the band is introspective, they showcase emotion without ever succumbing to that word's first 3 letters. Currently collaborating on their first album, the group formed in 2007 with Brad Swanson's versatile precission drumming, Jeremiah Baca on guitar, etching high pitched, toe curling riffs, Jared Swanson's vocals that go from mid-range Vienna boy choir to a scream effortlessly and Will Moore, the glue that brings them all together with thumping bass hooks culled from '90s grunge rock. Together they make music that is both beautiful and harrowing. Their influences include Elliott Smith, Radiohead, Broken Social Scene and Nirvana.
