Artist Information Biography Galanor is founded in November 2007 when good friends Joop de Rooij and Rik Bruineman decide to join forces. Joop plays keyboards and Rik plays the drums. Bass player Joost Maglev and guitarist Sebas Honing are added to the line-up soon after. Three months later, vocalist Petra Struis completes the band. Summer 2009, Galanor decides to change their vocal style and switches to male vocals. Joost Maglev will be the frontman vocalist from now on. Sebas Honing is replaced by Peter van Heijningen, an experienced and versatile guitarplayer. Jeroen van Maanen will take over bassguitar duty on a high and very professional level.  Galanor will introduce this new sound and line-up at the end of 2009. The music of Galanor is influenced by bands such as Yes, GACKT, Genesis, Nightwish and Devin Townsend. By blending different styles of music ranging from pop rock to powerful metal, Galanor creates a music style that appeals to a broad audience. The style can best be described as "pop metal". Galanor has already made a very solid impression during their first year. International Finals and festivals and a very impressive tour in Japan were already on their agenda and the reviews speak for themselves.
