Artist Information Biography Kimo Williams is the co-founder/guitarist and band manager of the Lt. Dan Band. This band features actor/musician Gary Sinise (CSI:NY). Kimo has played all over the world for the USO with the LT. Dan Band and continues to tour regularly with this group. A bassist, Kimo switches to guitar when he performs with his Lt. Dan Band. The Kimo Williams Band (KWB) started as a trio performing Kimo's original songs. A studio engineer heard the band and commented that KWB sounded a lot like Jimi Hendrix. With that, KWB added many of Hendrix's music to their repertory. As a songwriter, Kimo's influences include Jimi Hendrix and many jazz-fusion artists that utilize rock in their music. Downbeat called his music a cross-between Frank Zappa and Jimi Hendrix and gave it 41/2 stars. KWB performs the original music of Kimo Williams and covers of Jimi Hendrix. The music is a mix of hard-driving rock with jazz influences, combined with Kimo’s vocals, reminiscent of Jimi Hendrix Instrumentation Kimo Williams - Vocals and Electric Bass Ernie Denov -Guitar Tom Hipskind -Drums Discography KWB is a hybrid version of his ensemble "Kimotion" and features his rock-trio based songs.
