Live, Grace Tea is a full body experience, engaging audiences with her presence and intricate, rootsy play with language. In performance, she creates compositions with a Roland Hand Sonic and loop pedal, layering beats and melodies that get the crowd grooving. Then Grace picks up the mic and invites the audience into her poetic tales with strong, centered energy, taking everyone on a lyrical rhythmic journey.
Tistrya Grace is a singer/songwriter who reminds us to "be true to ourselves" as her songs envelop our being with simple bliss. Her honest and inspiring lyrics remind us why we are all here - to emanate love in all that we do: for ourselves, those around us, and the world in which we live. Her songs illustrate her struggles, triumphs and insights along the way. Her live performances are inspiring and heartfelt, leaving audiences smiling and feeling free!
When these two ladies met, Tistrya was the tour manager for Blue Turtle Seduction traveling by bus all over the west coast and creating her own music along the way. Grace Tea was singing, writing songs, and fronting the rock band Organic Flood. They would run into each other on the road in random places like McCall, ID and commune in the woods at Grace Tea's yurt in Nevada City, CA as Tistrya was passing through town. They would sing songs, exchange stories of their travels with "the boys", and envision collaborating together someday. In 2007, Grace Tea released her solo album, "Lilyonyx in the Isis Rise" and in 2008, Tistrya Grace released her solo album "Seremplicity"; each woman bringing her love of collaboration into the music, inviting many musicians to contribute to the projects. In the past year both women have been cultivating their art, navigating solo paths. Finding each other again, they are hitting the road together excited to share their music with audiences all over the country, ready to support eachother's creativity and visions.
