Mike Helms and the Nefarious Clydes’ has impressed many hearts with an ability to express what so many feel and think in the battle between the sexes. And the emotions and thoughts that rage and broil in heart and mind. Whether with a humorous intent, or a soulful heartfelt good ol’ boy approach.
Most folks express an appreciation of having “felt like that” and “you just described me ”. with musical settings from rollicking shake your butt back beats to slower tempo expressions of love and loss.
In February of 2008 Mike Helms (Singer, Songwriter, Performer) headed out on his own. After fronting a number of bands throughout his musical career. Michael decided it was time to form his own version of what his songwriting talents would create.
So Mike created the Nefarious Clydes’ as his backing group to allow his team a form of recognition and presence. Since life’s changes cause such comings and goings amongst band members.
Now playing at some of Portland’s larger venues and working on his first full length CD release due out in Sept. of 2009.
