Artist Information Biography OttO Vector was created by Mike Sonic and Ginseng in the summer of 2002. Both Sonic and Ginseng had many years of experience as members of "live" bands in metro Detroit, but neither ventured into the purely "electronic" realm. Using their years of collective musical experience as a guide, Sonic and Ginseng wrote and recorded a small library of 80s-inspired electro-pop songs. Wanting to further expand the boundaries of the project to a "live/performance" venue, the group recruited the talents of both Willy D and The General (to play live drums and bass, respectively). The soul of the project was defined by the addition of vocalist Renee', however; the humanity of her voice served as a perfect foil to the electronic audio landscape. Thus was born the electro-pop-rock hybrid that is OttO Vector. OttO Vector performed their first venue show in Ann Arbor, MI, in January 2004. Since then, the group has propagated their art with constant songwriting, performing and promoting. OttO Vector released their first demo/EP, Dv2.0, in October 2004.
