Biography
He is a self-taught mason of digital creations and sonic extravaganzas. Combining elements of Progressive Electro, Freestyle Techno, Experimental Illbient, and IDM, he crafts his own twisted world filled with grids of galactic swirls, meteoric punctures, and cinematic projectiles. He credits Orbital for inspiring him to make electronic music yet he denies to be seen as Orbital's underground follow-up act. His sound has been compared to the sound of Chemical Brothers, Boards of Canada and "Silent Hill" composer Akira Yamaoka but he says he is just learning from them.
He has independently released three albums and is writing the fourth one in his home studio in New York. The debut LP Smoke & Mirrors came out in 2005, followed by Hydra Missing: Fear The Worst in 2006. His latest record of 2008 Fractal Collapse has included such songs as "Amyland" which has been selected as a finalist of AF EMC 2007 (Artists Forum Electronic Music Competition of 2007), and "Phantom" which has gotten a written honorable mention by the President of Billboard Annual Song Contest of 2007. His sinister energy-laden "Chimera" has been repeatedly featured on Siked Electronixx Friday night show of KUCR 88.3FM (University of California). His "Shapeshifter" has gotten a spot on "Digital::Nimbus" Friday night show of KUCI 88.9FM (Irvine, CA).
He has been voted Artist of 2008 on New York-based Artists Forum, Inc. annual Artist of the Year poll
The Net is the main channel of exposure for his work. He runs his own website, http://www.lanespro.com, and a music page on MySpace, http://www.myspace.com/lanespro, where he posts all new updates and interacts with his fans. His albums got reviews on Hybrid, Absolute Punk, Sea Of Tranquility, Progression and Release along with some in-depth interviews covered by Music Dish and Helium.
He is currently working his next endeavor which is coming out in November 2009 featuring the latest experiments with his Atmotronic signature sound.
