Artist Information Biography The need for fresh musical inspiration and a cover story on Buckwheat Zydeco in Rolling Stone magazine led Robin Lacy to New Orleans in 1988. Having been a full-time performer and musician since high school, the Midwest music scene was wearing thin. Classic rock looked to be the only prospect for keeping his group together and working steadily. There had to be a better way. So Louisiana bound. When the car door opened in the French Quarter it was love at first sight, sound, smell & taste. Taking the lessons learned from the roots of New Orleans and Louisiana music and culture, Robin has added his own original songwriting and classic crowd pleasers to the mix, keeping a diverse and busy schedule. Whether playing overseas military tours, corporate events, or the corner bar, Robin Lacy and his group DeZydeco is nothin’ but a party. The group is able to perform an all-original set or a whole night of music mixed with Zydeco, Blues, Old School Country & Roots Rock.
