Biography
John Emil is a remarkably prolific artist whose wit, energy and musical technique combine powerfully to create an unforgettable live performance. John Emil is an accomplished singer / songwriter , guitarist and a master of slide guitar. He has taken the lost art of slide guitar to a new direction.
John has delivered show stopping performances at diverse major music festivals in North America as The Telluride Blues and Brews Fest - CO , The Midwest Music Summit - IN , Lake Occonee Music Fest - GA , Florida Folk Fest - FL , South Florida Folk Fest - FL , and has headlined at The Rock Hill Blues Fest - SC , The Yellow Daisy Fest - GA , Dream Acres Music Fest - NC, and The Decatur Blues and Bluegrass Festival where he was put on inbetween 6 and 7 piece bands as a solo act and the crowd was more impressed with Johns performance.
In 2006 John composed instrumental slide guitar tracks for media production libraries. His instrumental tracks are now publised by LA Post Music in Los Angeles CA , Westar Music in Canada and is the first American musician to have music published by one of the worlds largest production libraries KPM of London. Johns music for KPM is featured on the album " On My Way." In 2008 London producer Steve Baker of KPM / Galapagos Music hired John as a session musician to play slide guitar on " Casting Atmospheres."
