Biography
In the Fall of 2004, Central Pennsylvania’s A Farewell Rescue was born. This high energy Rock/ Alternative band has been compared to bands to the likes of Glassjaw, Coheed & Cambria & My Chemical Romance. Their name has been inspired by insatiable desire to keep exciting & meaningful music alive. Writing hard hitting guitar riffs with catchy infectious melody’s a musical mixture of the stylings that is sure to please fans of all genres. A Farewell Rescue is determined to climb out of their Central Pennsylvania mountains and into the spotlight. In 2006 the band worked with Doug White at Watchmen Studios (Gym Class Heroes, Every Time I Die, Pysopus, Snapcase) to record a few tracks that started enticing the ears of many labels leading them to their first record deal. A Farewell Rescue’s debut album, “Never Meet Your Heroes” was again produced by Doug White and Released in 2007 on Snapdragon Records. In 2008 A Farewell Rescue's non stop touring attitude landed them with Sony Red Distro for the Re-Release of "Never Meet Your Heroes" September 16th 2008. “With equal parts Sugar & Razorblade’s A Farewell Rescue is sure to rock your tear stained face off!”
